It was a beautiful day in North Florida and I decided that I hadn’t been out w my wife in far too long. Choices for Indian restaurants can be sparse in rural settings so I was delighted to discover this establishment was only 15 minutes away. Inside was spacious and clean, the table and chair accoutrements were refined and modern. I would no problem recommending Madala Indian Cuisine to anyone. The food, particularly the Lamb Saag, was delicious.

Nice size buffet, food was hot and seasoned well. Had paid for to go plate and loaded up! Only thing it was close to lunch buffet ending so some of items were not refilled. Decently priced. Been twice and food tasty every time. I have been to a few that have larger variety, but this was still good. Be aware they do not have mango ice cream (my kids fave).

Update 11/10/23: The buffet is back and better than ever!!! My original review was 7 years ago. Still loving it!!! -- Original review: Went with the family and everyone loves the buffet. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Jacksonville. I may not be a connoisseur, but I have eaten at a lot of Indian buffets. Masala has about the best variety and great tasting dishes. Over the past 10 years it seems like a lot of Indian restaurants have popped up, but Masala is definitely the best IMHO.

This place is one of best places in Jacksonville, hands down. Was introduced on a 1st date with my husband and it has been a favorite ever since. The lunch buffet is open all week now? So happy about that. That staff are kind and the restaurant is so nice on the inside. The tables a long the wall give you privacy which I thought always made it nice for dates or business meetings.

We just enjoyed a large family dinner here and it was outstanding! The chai tea, samosas and chicken 65 appetizers were yummy along with the garlic nan! The several entrees we enjoyed were all distinctive and freshly prepared. This was a memorable and excellent place to enjoy Indian cuisine! Update: We just enjoyed the lunch buffet here and it is one of the best we have ever experienced with Indian cuisine. Everything they set out was excellent and freshly prepared!

I went on Saturday for the lunch buffet. Food was good, and the service was nice. I’m guessing it was the manager/owner who came up to me and recommended I try some things or said “this sauce would go great with that”. I’m not Indian so the suggestions were very helpful. The atmosphere including the employees have a calm yet attentive vibe about them.

Great Indian cuisine. We will definitely be back. We were craving Indian cuisine and so thankful we found this place. So if you are in the area, definitely try them out. We like spicy food and they did not disappoint. One of our favorite appetizers to order is the Gobi Manchurian, we ordered it with medium heat, and it was perfect for the appetizer. Not to hot, and it was delicious. My go-to meal I usually try first at a new restaurant is the Vindaloo, I went with chicken this time and medium heat as well. I was not disappointed, it was fantastic. My husband ordered Lamb Curry and spice level hot. He said it was perfect. And of course, we shared, and we both agreed that the place deserves a 5 star. And of course we ordered Naan bread, Garlic is our favorite and we ordered a side of Raitha which was delicious as well. We love the Raitha dip as it seems to clean your palate when going from dish to dish. I almost forgot to take pictures so the food pics are partially eaten. It was that good. Service was great, we went at an odd hour of the day so it wasn't too busy. Service was quick, and the waitress offered suggestions, which I like. Our food came out hot and fresh, and she kept our drinks full. We were very pleased with the service we received. The atmosphere was very nice and had a coziness to it. I loved how they had their tables set up along the sides of the restaurant. There was a wall separating each table area. Which made it feel a little more intimate. The place was very clean and great lighting. If we are in the area again, we will definitely be back.
